Ever wonder what happens to that mother with the severely disabled child you used to know? You remember her, she was a Human Resource Manager, Classmate, friend, colleague... Well wonder no longer, you have found her. It's me. I am in my house taking care of my special son, Daniel. And trying to survive... no different than the last 20 years. Except now I am creating new things... since I am not able to work out there in the corporate world with you wonderful people. THIS is what happened to her. LOOK no further. I am Julie Hasselberger, and this is my adapted life.

NO NURSE CAREGIVER WOES

Being a caregiver, of your own son with special needs, makes "self care" enormously challenging.  I was just trying to rest and recover, and found out that I had no nurse at all coming in to help me. 

I can't put in words, how incredibly difficult this is.
